By using Limnora you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Purpose of the app
Limnora presents official seasonal bathing-water classifications published by the European Environment Agency (EEA), based on reporting by national authorities under the Bathing Water Directive. The app is an information and travel-discovery tool, not a live water-safety measurement, a forecast or a medical or emergency service.
A classification such as "Excellent" reflects an official seasonal assessment. It is not a statement that a specific place is safe to swim today. Always follow local warnings, closures and on-site notices, which take priority over anything shown in the app.
Data sources
Bathing-water classifications and history are loaded from the EEA's public bathing-water services when you first open the app, refreshed at most once a day, and stored on your device for offline use. Map tiles, destination search and directions are provided by Apple Maps/MapKit.
Accuracy and availability
Limnora aims to reflect the official published data accurately, but does not guarantee that it is complete, current or continuously available. Source services may be delayed, temporarily unavailable or changed without notice. Missing or "Not classified" data does not indicate poor water quality.
Pro purchase
Limnora offers an optional one-time, non-consumable Pro purchase that unlocks full seasonal history and comparison of 2–4 bathing waters. It is not a subscription. Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and are subject to the App Store's own terms and refund policies. Restore purchases is available from the Pro screen.
Unofficial status
Limnora is an independent app and is not an official product of the European Environment Agency, the European Union, any national authority, or Apple. Names of external services and institutions are used only to describe data sources and technologies.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. A new version takes effect once published on this page or, where the change requires it, once you update the app.
